Fracture game packaging lists 2 player offline

I'm a little confused...the back of the Canadian PS3 retail version of Fracture clearly lists 2 player local play, as well as 12 player online play...yet it appears Fracture doesn't actually have any offline multiplayer capabilities.
The exact text from the back is:

Number of players: 1-2 (online1-12)
Required hard disk space: At least 2GB
Supported HD video output: 720p

My fiance and I bought this game specifically to play together, as was advertised. So why are the advertised specifications incorrect?

I love the idea of the game, and I thought the demo was freaking awesome, but now I'm, well, really damn pis**d about this!

I'm also "pis**d" about this fact. I have bought the game, In hopes of playing it with my younger brother. Seeing the "Number of players: 1-2 (online1-12)" I naturally assumed it is two player offline, with either a multi-player mode or a co-op campaign mode. I'm hoping they just put that there because they are in the process of developing that feature and do not want to have to alter the game packaging at all.

If anyone has any information on this I'd love to know. Feel free to email me at lantzmacleans@gmail.com

Thanks, Matt.
